Nestled high in the Pyrenees, Soldeu is a mountain village in the principality of Andorra, best known for its access to Grandvalira, which is one of the largest ski areas in Southern Europe. At 1,800 meters above sea level, Soldeu has grown from a quiet farming village into a winter destination with over 200 kilometers of slopes. It hosted World Cup alpine ski races in 2019 and is scheduled to host the Finals again in 2029.

The commercial and cultural center for the Ruhr region on the Rhine River, Duseldorff is also the site of the Felderhof Cave where Neanderthal man was found in 1856.

A moving sight...literally. Hubbard Glacier's recent nickname "the galloping glacier" refers to its rapid movement through Disenchantment Bay in the direction of the Gulf of Alaska. This tidewater glacier is a natural wonder over 6 miles wide! Those on ships are usually able to get within about a half mile of Hubbard Glacier's face.

Falmouth, on Cornwall’s south coast, grew around one of the world’s largest natural harbors, a feature that has shaped its maritime identity for centuries. The town expanded during the age of sail, serving as a key port for packet ships, and landmarks like Pendennis Castle still anchor Falmouth firmly in its naval past.

Nunavut comprises a major portion of Northern Canada, and most of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago. Its vast territory makes it the fifth-largest country subdivision in the world, as well as the largest in North America.
